Featured Artists

The players who make the weekend.

A Cross Mill Plug In lives or dies on its featured artist. We choose teachers who can play, and players who can teach.

Our Approach

We book for generosity, not just fame.

The best featured artist isn't always the biggest name. It's the one who leans in — the artist who will sit beside a nervous player in the Gallery, work through a voicing three times, and still mean it when they say, “My door is always open.”

Across the season, you'll learn alongside respected touring artists who are also gifted teachers and accomplished songwriters with devoted followings.

Different names, different seasons. The same willingness to listen, teach, play, and share the room.

For Artists

Lead your own Plug In.

Every Plug In is built around one featured artist — a masterclass, small ensembles, and three days with twenty serious musicians shaped around your work. If that's a room you'd like to lead, we want to hear from you.

Not ready to lead one yet? We also host artists-in-residence, filmed sessions on the gallery stage, and quiet stretches of writing time on the pond. Tell us what you'd like to make.
